Those things my parents have lived through
I know that I can live through too.
I saw them when their parents died,
watched their strong faith, though they cried.
I knew they hurt but comfort came
knowing they would see them again.
And now I cry for dad who’s gone
and my girls watch me pass along,
life though precious does not last
and death though fearful soon is past.
There is much more than what we see
of birth and death,
eternity.
