Calamondin Orange Tree Citrofortunella microcarpa
We’ve had this lovely orange tree over 10 years. The blossoms scent the whole house with a lovely sweet scent. Little oranges are sour but delicious and are a natural anti oxidant. Meaning of the tree is generosity and it certainly has been abundantly generous these past ten years.
They are smaller than the smallest oranges we can get in the store. Between a kumquat and a cuties size, more the size of a plum. I water them once a week on Sundays with a dropper full of Schulz plant food. 😉

That is extraordinary! I don’t know if they have the little oranges in Canada called “cuties”… That’s what they look like to me. Anyhow I’d be scared to re-pot them too… But I’m sure that the tree grows due to the care you provide it…

I’m wondering if I should put it into a bigger pot but I hate to disturb it when it’s doing so well.

It seems to be constantly blooming and having fruit at the same time. Right now there are blooms opening and tiny green fruit as well as the ripening orange fruit. It is an amazing little tree.

So your tree has been thriving for 10 years? How often do they blossom?

I have a green thumb… but I’ve never even tried to plant fruits or vegetables.

Do you plant the seeds? So far fresh fruit is still available in our stores in Canada.

I bet they are really good! It is almost impossible to find certain fruits, including oranges with seeds inside the grocery stores where I live. Enjoy… !

Yes the little oranges have quite a few seeds in each orange. I eat the oranges peel and all. They are somewhat like kumquats, the peel is sweet and the inside tart. I love them.
