Grinning Begonia

Begonia in pump house window box

Grinning at us as we notice, oops missed one.
All the rest are tucked into dry spots for the winter but this one thinks it’s special.
It is special, an amazing colour that has bloomed faithfully
since Mother’s Day when my son-in-law gave it to me.
Deer nibbled a few flowers but not enough to discourage more blooms.
It won’t like being uprooted but survival depends on it.

I hate to pull it up. Might let it grin a few more days till the temperature drops. 😉
