Newness of Life

Back in November when we visited my sister and her husband on Vancouver Island, my brother-in-law
gave me a cutting and a little root of a Chinese Lantern plant from his garden. We brought it home on the plane and I put it in a vase full of water. A few days ago I was so excited to see it had new and healthy green shoots growing from it and some good strong roots developing. I’ll find the perfect place for it in our yard once the danger of frost has passed.
