Creative Spirit Lives Within

Creative spirit lives
within the space
between 
happiness 
and pain.

I only focus
when the balance
hangs precisely
in between.

Happiness can easily drown
the voices 
that compel me 
to create.

And pain can
demand my 
undivided attention.

Rare moments they are
when the pendulum stops,
the weight is evenly distributed
and I am free
to focus 
on creating.
