Watching the Birds At The Feeder

This tickles the edges of my observation,
thinking of names and classification -
the junco doesn't seem to see
that he's a bird called junco to me
What's even more absurd 
he doesn't know
that he's a bird

Made up names
to suit our brains,
don't define them
they fly just the same.
Why I find it so funny
I can't quite explain,
all of those creatures
that don't know their name.
