Watching the Birds At The Feeder

This tickles the edges of my observation,
thinking of names and classification -
the junco doesn't seem to see
that he's a bird called junco to me
What's even more absurd
he doesn't know
that he's a bird

Made up names
to suit our brains,
don't define them
they fly just the same.
Why I find it so funny
I can't quite explain,
all of those creatures
that don't know their name.

Great poem describing the insanity of humanity!

And the most amazing thing of all
Birds know each other by their call!
