Peace Whispers

It was a whisper
that floated past
milling crowds
of travellers, 
buyers,
sellers

and settled in the hearts
of quiet shepherds,
men of wisdom
watching the stars
and a young girl
in a barn.

Peace -
rarely found
anywhere else
but in the hearts
of those
who stop long enough
to accept it.
