Sharp Shinned Hawk is often seen as a messenger from the gods. It is also a symbol of strength, courage, and speed. In addition, the hawks’ sharp talons were seen as a sign of protection, and their sleek feathers were associated with grace and beauty.
We saw this hawk as we walked back down our road after walking out for the mail yesterday. A lovely omen methinks.
