A Coastal Day

I’m sending you a Coastal Day-
scent of salt
in quiet bay,
feel of driftwood
at your feet,
warmth of bright sun’s
gentle heat.

And if you close your eyes and feel
the seaweed and the sand is real,
for just a moment try to see
bright Montbretia
and apple tree,
begonia blossoms moist
with dew,
and if you want,
you’ll see me too.
