Cul-de-sac

A circle of homes
with driveways like spokes
leading up to them.
Strangers chose homes here,
hoping to become neighbours, friends.
Many nationalities, languages, religions
encircled with hopes, dreams
and similar incomes.
Some starting out,
some newly retired
all dreaming
of happiness
and
community
in the
cul-de-sac
🏠
