That is always such a hard decision to make, whether to cut down a tree or not. Ours has sent shoots out all over
the yard so I can see how it could affect neighbours. We have three cherry trees, only two have given us any cherries so far. We’ll see how they fare this year. I gave them a good dose of compost tea. The trees are worth keeping for us just for the blossoms, so far. 😉 The hummingbirds and bees love them too.
We had to cut down the cherry tree as it’s roots were invading the neighbours house or drainage system for the house. Geoff was okay with this as we had not had cherries in a few years since the raccoons discovered it! Before that, we loved those cherries and their beautiful blossoms.
