They pick up cardboard, paper, containers but not glass or plastic bags so we take that to the recycle depot in
Sechelt every couple of weeks. They’ve just started a new system here, they give you three bins for garbage, recycle and compost but we use our compost for our garden. So far they haven’t picked up our recycle yet, still hoping they’ll come to our driveway instead of hisnibs having to lug it up the road. Yours probably just goes to the landfill, can’t be separated once in the garbage, I wouldn’t think.
We have to drag our bins up the road about 500 feet to the neighbours driveway. The big trucks can’t seem to turn
around at our end of the road. Sunny day here but cold still. 😉
I could very nearly get a similar image here, except ours goes down a very steep driveway (then back up again on the return trip)! Good to see the snow appears to have melted. Though I’m getting a bit edgy about not getting the usual amount of rain here. More drought doesn’t bode well for the coming fire season. 🥴

What is in the bin? We used to have two cans one for recycle one for trash. Here you get, one how do they go through that I don’t know.
