From Log to Shakes – 4 photographs

This cedar log has been lying in our woods for over 50s years.
His nibs cut a 20′ long piece and tractored it out of the woods.
Hisnibs split the log into 4 sections and then, using a froe and mallet,
split shakes from each section.
