Portulaca grandiflora is a succulent flowering plant in the family Portulacaceae, native to Argentina, southern Brazil, and Uruguay and often cultivated in gardens. It has many common names, including rose mosseleven o’clockMexican rosemoss rosesun roserock rose, and moss-rose purslane.

    I love them too. I remember seeing them all along the freeways in California and wanting to pick some. Now I have some. Middle daughter planted them in the window box that gets the most sun. 😉
