One shrivelled, dried out pea
patted into dark rich soil
wakes,
sprouts,
grows to one strong vine
holding lots of pea pods
and each pod wraps around
numerous peas.
A lovely example
of abundance –
sow a seed,
reap a harvest.
This principle plays out
in many areas of life –
sow fear
reap panic;
sow calm
reap peace;
sow distrust
reap chaos;
sow acceptance
reap unity.
What we sow
multiplies manyfold
and can build up
or tear down
relationships, families
and nations.
