I’m going back to good old cook books.
I know the internet is full of information,
easy to access and instant
but every site is covered over
with things to sign up for,
things popping up about everything from
suggestions for painting a cupboard
to hints on how to make ice cream,
when all I want is a simple baked squash recipe.
It’s a whole lot easier
and less stressful
to go to my bookcase,
find the old blue Joy of Cooking
with a rendition of every recipe
you’d find online anyway.
Who invented those annoying pop ups
and why mess with inspiring pages
of food pictures and recipes?
I know how to search for anything I want,
I don’t need suggestions, thank you very much.
Going to go sit in the grape arbour
on my hanging chair
and enjoy looking through the cookbook
without stress or annoyance.

Thanks for the suggestion but it’s way easier just to get out my good old cookbook. It’s like catching up with an old friend. 😉

yes I agree!!! Or they give the big pitch on how delicious it is and you have to login or join to get the recipe. You could try BigOven. The last time I used it it was normal….but may be contaminated by now too. Hugs xxoo

You betcha!!!! My thoughts too!. Cooking is a family thing, not a “catch -all”. I think💕
