Rhododendron macrophyllum
Deciduous shrub.
Lovely little rhodo out by our cabin. Such an amazing soft pink colour.
“Cunningham’s Blush”
Is a good companion for azalea and holly.
Deer proof unless the males stomp on them, which they tend to do here.
Poison if ingested.
Means: From the Greek: rhodos – rose, dendron – tree.
Flower: Danger, Beware

Isn’t it lovely, delicate and fragile looking. Our other rhodo by the driveway is over 40 years old. It’s huge and a bright, bold red colour.
