Back To Basics

Though it might feel like it, the world has not stopped spinning,
seagulls have not stopped fishing,
Mother Nature isn’t aware of our pandemic.
Life goes on as usual for those who depend on her for their livelihood.
Maybe we need to get back to that simple way of life again,
of working to live, not the other way around,
and creatively use what we have at hand
rather than rushing out to buy something.
Life goes on for us too
if we can squelch the panic and realize
we can and will survive this.
