What Connects Us To Another.

A handmade bag I carry
while visiting the eye doctor.
A young man sitting in the waiting room notices
and comments on it.
We chat about where I got it,
how handmade is always so beautiful.
We laugh, smile, connect.
He didn’t say much about himself
but I felt his worry, impatience,
sadness.
And I prayed peace around him
as he left.
I will pray for him each day
I remember to
because we connected.

Aw, thank you. Some things we’ll never know but we do what we have to do anyway, right.
