Finally Living Our Dream

We are finally living our dream.
We’ve built a paradise
in the woods
where fresh clean air
and cold well water
refresh the body,
where birdsong
and beauty
refresh the soul.

We do not have to allow
anyone or anything
to pollute what we have created,
nor apologize for demanding
that our years of work
be respected
and valued.
