The Lost Art of Anticipation

Soon there will be cherries.

Tweet, twitter, Instagram,
call, text, web cam –
get it done, see it now,
never wait,
don’t know how.

Envision, dream what you desire,
watch tiny sparks
light a fire.

Half the joy of wanting
is the thing that seems
most daunting

Believe,
wait,
anticipate.

Yes! Delicious cherries! Our local raccoons will be so happy. Last year they ate them early to make sure we got none! What do you do?
