Our life as seen from the road

I like standing outside my life sometimes,
to see what is usually too close
to notice
when living inside it.

It appears from here
open but private,
surrounded with green,
life and growth,
work and beauty,
challenge and serenity.

Ideal from here,
but as I walk back
into our yard again
I think,
it is pretty ideal
after all.
