Eerie,
invasive,
sneaks through cracks
we didn’t know were there,
grabs anything in it’s path
flinging disdainfully aside
that which it does not carry away,
sucks ones breath,
attempts to draw the soul
out of the body
as other lost souls
howl
among the trees
warning one to stay inside
safe
from
the wind.

Thank you, yes. It is always exciting living in the woods when a storm comes through. Deer usually sleep in our clearing during storms.

Thank you Vicki. Your photographs of Vancouver Island are stunning and inspiring also. We’re just across the sound from you on the Sunshine Coast. 😉
