Fruit Juice
from the book “Living the Good Life” by the Nearings

Sterilize quart jars. Have boiling water at hand.
Pour about an inch of water into a jar.
Stir in up to 1 cup of sugar, brown sugar, honey or maple syrup (depending on how sweet you like juice)  I use between 1/4 and 1/2 cup.
Pour 1 1/2 cup fruit into jar.
Fill to the brim with boiling water.
Put lid on.

To use, shake well, strain and enjoy summer in a glass.  The pulp could be added to muffins or loaves.  Our chickens love it too.

Works great with raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and grapes.
