Bless each member of my family today.
Each with their own struggle
yet bound together by the very fact that we do struggle.
May times of rest give strength and wisdom
for the next burst of energy and creativity,
that each may emerge whole, beautiful beings.
May they find truth in their searching,
peace in their yearning,
healing in their bodies,
and may they each know they are loved now,
just as they are.
May they realize their struggle is about life
and good and truth,
not to be despised and pushed against
but to embrace with gratitude.
For it is only through stretching, and great pain
we are born to be who we were created to be.
Bless each one, teenagers, almost-adult children, parents,
grand parents, and great grandparents –
all and each part of the other – my family.
