From Scratch

A cedar tree fell in last winter’s storm,
cut to length and milled into 2’x10’x6′ foot board,
put through the planer to smooth,
edges rounded with a router,
2×4 legs milled from the same tree,
a coat of sealer
voila, a beautiful cedar bench
made from scratch.
