Bears Are Back

This scruffy little black bear walked right past my studio window and up my path.  He knew exactly where he was going, to the compost bin.  He knocked the lid off and got some snacks.  His very large mamma wasn’t far behind but she wasn’t interested in the compost. Her breakfast was fresh huckleberry greens.  I couldn’t get any good pictures because of the reflections in the window but this one shows it was not an illusion.  Hisnibs tightened the electric fence wires and the next time he came for a snack he was shocked at not being able to get to the bin.  Hopefully, he has learned his lesson and will bypass that experience.

Yes, we rather enjoy them around and have a deep respect for their wildness. 😉

I love bears. They must be on my Sacred Totem! Lucky you!
