On The Death of Two Friends

You have to cry,
no time for goodbye,
you want to ask why,
but no answer, no reason will satisfy.
Eighteen is much too young to die.

Remember their faces,
their favourite places,
stand by their friends as they cry,
honour their lives, however short
and don’t let those memories die.
