Banasa dimiata is a colorful, phytophagous stink bug widely distributed and commonly found in the United States and Canada from Vancouver Island to California and Quebec to Florida. It is associated with various trees and shrubs.

I agree. I wonder what the design on his back means. Some are brown and some are green and brown.
