Siberian Miners Lettuce (Candy Flower) Montia sibirica

It’s really spring when one can nibble a leaf or flower while walking the trails. Miner’s Lettuce is the best tasting wild salad greens.  Stems, leaves, flowers and roots are delicious raw or cooked.
Flowers: on long thin stem, five notched petals, star-shaped, with thin red lines. Blooms March to June.
