Life does not stop when the power fails
though to many, I’m sure, it comes right off the rails.
No coffee, no TV, no hot shower
what to do when you have no power.
We in the woods try not to sound smug
as we sip our coffee by the wood stove so snug.
There’s much to be said about being prepared,
I wonder how well our neighbours have fared.
