So Blessed

I was thinking about the happiest times of my childhood.
When I was most myself was when we camped in Banff
or at summer camp in the woods near Red Deer.
Freedom and a release of who I was meant to be.
I guess I’ve been re-creating that here.

We’ve decided there is no where else we’d rather be
and no one else we’d rather be with.
Not many people in our world
can say that, I’ll bet.

We’ve survived much,
and created beauty out of it
and now we get to live in the centre of it all.
Our needs are simple and few
We are very blessed.
