I am balancing
on the edge
of
a
water
fall.
Shall I
turn
and run away
from the precipice
or
go over the falls
knowing that I risk
being
dashed
to
pieces
in
the
depths
below.

Thank you Eugenia. This poem was symbolic of a crossroad in my life, where I had to choose between a safer but constricting path or take the leap into a scary but freeing trail. I took the harder route and only by the grace of God survived the plunge. Yes, a leap of faith is what a waterfall symbolizes to me now every time I see one.

Beautiful picture and poem. When you see a waterfall like this you do get the urge to jump off, only if you wouldn’t dash into pieces though. Symbolically speaking, this can represent many situations in life that require great risks or taking a leap of faith.
