Carrot in the beet patch
Look at that!
A carrot in the bed of beets!
Pull it out?
Of course not,
just because I did not plant it
does not mean it doesn’t belong.
The beets don’t mind,
why should I?
In fact the beets closest
to the carrot
seem greener
and healthier
than the rest
as though a new neighbour
is an inspiration.
